WHAT: Southwest Airlines is celebrating Flag Day with the State of Maryland, BWI airport Employees and Southwest Airlines Employees. Southwest is honoring the state with a very special dedication showing Southwest’s continued commitment to both Baltimore/Washington International Airport and the State of Maryland.

WHEN: Tuesday, June 14, 9:30 a.m. -- media set-up, 10 a.m. -- event begins

WHERE: Baltimore/Washington International Airport, Cargo Building G (Mid-Field Cargo Complex), 8699 Mathison BWI Airport, Md. 21240

VISUALS: A very large, very new, very flag day themed addition to Southwest Airlines.

WHY: Southwest Airlines operates 164 daily nonstop departures at Baltimore/Washington International Airport, and BWI is Southwest’s third busiest airport in terms of daily departures. The airline has more than 2,500 local Employees and just celebrated the opening of the new Terminal A/B in May. Southwest has grown rapidly at BWI over the last twelve years and the airline could not think of a better way to celebrate Maryland than this special, one-of-a-kind tribute.
