Nu Look Home Design Raises Cancer Awareness in Partnership with WMAL DC

Nu Look Home Design has partnered with a popular local news radio station, WMAL DC, to create awareness for breast cancer. The month of October is celebrated as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Nu Look hopes to create awareness through this effort.

Since the 90’s, the month of October has been celebrated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, though the concern for it remains throughout the year. WMAL has gone pink to raise awareness of breast cancer in partnership with Nu Look Home Design.

A pink ribbon is generally used and displayed, which signifies awareness of breast cancer and the immense need for screening as soon as possible. Early screening is extremely important for the diagnosis of breast cancer, which helps in treatment.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month stresses the fact that if cancer is detected early and in a localised stage, the survival rate can be as much as 99%. Women need to be aware and keep an eye on their bodies. This is possible through monthly breast examinations, going for scheduled breast exams, and getting in touch with the doctor if anything unusual is observed in the body.

Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer that affects women. Nu Look takes the opportunity to urge all women to be conscious of any changes in their bodies and seek medical help and attention whenever anything seems a bit unusual. Timely detection is the way to prevention, and many lives can actually be saved with a little effort.
