Nebraska – WEBWIRE

Margret Kingrey narrates her journeys filled with romance, travel, and a spiritual quest in “Alaska Stories: A Memoir.” Margret came to the realization that life is more than just death and inertia at the age of 45. She moves away from her family and friends to work as an occupational therapist in Anchorage. Margret, whose ambitions to get married and advance professionally have been dashed, turns to her love of boating and the breathtaking scenery of Alaska to help her understand how valuable she is as a person. Another turn of fate grants her wishes just as she starts to cherish herself as a single woman in her life.

Margret’s fascinating account of escaping to Alaska in her early middle age is entertaining and motivational. She yearns for love, adventure, and a new beginning, which makes this book relatable because these things occasionally elude us all. She stands up from her chair and begins to embrace that new life. For those who want to get away from every day, this is a great book to read. Her writing is clear and simple to follow, and it’s sprinkled with just the right amount of comedy to have you turning the pages endlessly.

With this personal account, readers go on a fascinating and instructive journey. Margret paints a vivid and lively picture of what life would be like in Alaska by talking about kayaking, fishing, and hiking.
