BRUSSELS, Belgium & LONDON - FRS, a leading global provider of enterprise risk and regulatory compliance solutions to financial institutions throughout the world, has appointed Steven Husk as its new CEO. Husk’s key role will be to oversee business strategy and operations that will support the dynamic growth of FRS worldwide. FRS is uniquely placed to respond to the growing demand by organizations for solutions that enable them to respond swiftly and effectively to compliance requirements from different regulators across the globe.

Steven’s expertise is focused on building successful IT firms, notably in the financial services sector. Before joining FRS as Executive Chairman in 2006, Steven was President of SunGard Trading and Risk for five years, where he led a team of more than 500 specialists responsible for marketing, developing and installing solutions for global capital market institutions.

Prior to SunGard, Steve held a series of senior management positions at Iris Financial Engineering, Infinity Financial Technology, Oracle, Sybase and Comshare.

Steve Husk said: “It’s a very exciting time to be leading FRS in such a fast growing and dynamic marketplace. We are now positioned to concentrate fully on the execution of our vision to become the premier solution provider that can blend the regulatory, risk and performance functions through a single repository across a bank.”

“Over the next few months, we will be making a series of personnel announcements as we continue to round out our senior management team, attracting the best and brightest talent available in the industry. I look forward to taking FRS to the next level.”

The appointment of Husk builds on the recent acquisition of FRS by The Carlyle Group and Kennet Partners, which will allow FRS to continue with its successful growth strategy and to capitalise on its market leading position in regulatory reporting and risk management. In addition, FRS will continue to develop new solutions and expand into new geographies.

“We are excited that Steven has accepted the challenge to take FRS to the next level in our effort to be the premier supplier of risk and regulatory solutions to financial institutions around the world,” said Michael Wand, managing director, The Carlyle Group. “His extensive experience in successfully growing financial IT organizations, coupled with his leadership skills makes him the ideal person to lead our team.”

Steve has an MBA from the Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania and a degree in Economics from Southampton University. He enjoys being with his family, skiing, jogging and watching cricket and rugby. He is also a keen supporter of Southampton Football Club.
