Marion Fromberger won in Indonesia

Indonesia I Palangkaraya – WEBWIRE

Marion Fromberger takes in a phenomenal way her first worldcup victory this season!

The very first World Cup took place in Indonesia I Palangkaraya. At the same time it has been the 7th stop of this year’s Eliminator World Cup series. Our MTB Racing Team travelled to the event with a line up of 3 riders. Marion Fromberger, world champion Simon Gegenheimer and our Mexican rocket Dan Noyola. The course was challenging with difficult obstacles and fast turns. In front of massive crouds and a great atmosphere, the participants were motivated to top performances. Marion Fromberger already set a fast time in the qualification and rode through all heats in an impressive manner. In the final heat, our young German Marion Fromberger set a very fast pace right from the start. She was unbeatable on her corratec Revo Bow SL Factory and took her first World Cup win this season. A great performance. Congratulations Marion.

The men, meanwhile, had to tackle exactly the same race course and our competitors Simon Gegenheimer and Dan Noyola were perfectly prepared. Both qualified for the finals. Unfortunately, Dan Noyola had a bad position in his heat and missed the next quarterfinal. In the end, he finished in a respectable 18th place. Simon Gegenheimer, on the other hand, showed a solid performance. After his break from racing, he did not compete in the last World Cup race in Turkey, Simon Gegenheimer showed a solid performance and entered the final run. In a great battle with Frenchman Quentin Schrotenberger, Simon was able to secure 2nd place and thus another podium finish. With this result he regained the lead in the overall World Cup.

Congrats to Marion Fromberger, Simon Gegenheimer and Dan Noyola to these amazing results. The next World Cup Race is just around the corner. This sunday our riders start in India I Leh, Ladakh. Follow the race live on the TV broadcast via YouTube. Click here to get directly to the livestream!
