Promotional Products Association International Endorses CoreVault

OKLAHOMA CITY - CoreVault has announced that it has received an exclusive endorsement from Promotional Products Association International, the only international not-for-profit trade association representing the $18 billion promotional products industry, to provide data backup and recovery services to its 7,500 member companies. “Any time you receive an endorsement from a large and reputable organization like PPAI, it is welcome news,” says Jeff Cato, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for CoreVault.

“PPAI’s mission is to provide products and services that will ensure the success of our members,” said Michele Packard-Milam, CAE, PPAI director of membership. “We are pleased to offer our members an affordable data storage solution that will protect mission critical data in a secure, off-site location. For many of our members, data storage is an under-managed element of their business structure and data protection is an afterthought. CoreVault offers an efficient, secure means to protect their valuable data.”

Market research indicates that a company’s data storage needs will increase on average at a rate of 30 to 40% annually. Despite this phenomenal data growth rate, many companies still back up their data on tape or disk. The Gartner Group, a nationally-recognized research firm, says, “34 percent of companies fail to test their backups, and of those that do, 77 percent have found tape backup failures.” In recent years, escalation of natural disasters worldwide, increases in U.S. regulatory mandates like HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley, and the high cost of human resources continue to constrain small to mid-sized employers. Data management has become critical to the success of most companies.

“CoreVault™ assures participating PPAI members that their important data will be backed up in a secure, reliable and cost-effective manner. Additionally, our online service allows them to back up their laptops’ data, which is a major area of vulnerability for most companies today. Many of PPAI’s members are small companies with no dedicated IT staff. Like many small businesses, their data doesn’t get backed up at all. We will be able to help them tremendously with our affordable secure solutions,” said Cato.
