Vox Media, the leader in modern media, announced it has named Priyanka Arya to the role of SVP, Consumer Revenue. In this newly created role, Arya will be responsible for overseeing the consumer revenue business at Vox Media, including digital and print subscriptions for New York Magazine, the Vox Contributions program, subscription audio products such as Cafe Insider, the podcast industry newsletter Hot Pod, and Fetch by The Dodo, a pet insurer Group Nine began a partnership with in 2019. Arya will report to Ryan Pauley, Vox Media’s Chief Revenue Officer.

Arya was previously SVP, Strategic Development for Vox Media, joining the company via its recent merger with Group Nine. At Group Nine, Arya was Senior Vice President, Strategic Finance & Business Development, where she oversaw finance, business development for consumer revenue, corporate development and direct-to-consumer commerce, including leading the launch of the Fetch by The Dodo partnership. She also played a key role in the recent Vox Media merger and Group Nine’s 2019 acquisition of Popsugar. Prior to Group Nine, Arya held senior strategy and finance roles at direct-to-consumer brands including LOLA, where she was Head of Strategic Finance, and Birchbox, helping grow these consumer products.

“Priyanka is a proven leader in growing and developing smart business strategies and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have her take on this new role and lead a business we are confident in and have high growth ambitions for,” said Ryan Pauley. “We have built brands that we know ignite passionate audiences across platforms and we see an opportunity to find new ways to engage with these growing audiences, with products they are willing to pay for. ”

“Vox Media, especially following the recent merger with Group Nine, has an unrivaled set of brands that have uniquely scaled to audiences. There’s great momentum in consumer revenue with products that audiences love like New York, HotPod and Cafe Insider, and I see a ton of opportunity to tap into the engaged followings of our beloved brands and franchises, to expand even more,” said Arya.
