Netflix ISP Speed Index for June 2022

Nearly 10 ISPs across North America, Europe and Asia performed at 3.8 Mbps for the month of June on the Netflix ISP Speed Index, our monthly update on which ISPs provide the best primetime Netflix streaming experience.

In North America, Telus - Fiber Optic in Canada and Optimum Fiber in the United States jumped by 0.2 Mbps (megabits per second) to 3.8 Mbps. 

Three ISPs in Europe followed a similar trend, with Orange Poland, United Kingdom’s Virgin Media, and Italy’s Sky Wifi all seeing increases of 0.2 Mbps to 3.8 Mbps. 

Across Asia, AIS Fibre in Thailand, Time in Malaysia and LG U+ in South Korea also joined the 3.8 Mbps club. The averages for eight of the nine countries also saw a boost of 0.2 Mbps to 3.8 Mbps, with Poland increasing to 3.4 Mbps from 3.2.

Three ISPs saw drops of 0.2 Mbps. Japan’s Softbank-DSL decreased from 3.2 to 3 Mbps. Pakistan’s Jazz and Trinidad and Tobago’s Blink dropped from 2.2 to 2 Mbps.

Thirty-two countries and regions were in the top performance tier in the month of June. Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States and Vietnam all registered an average speed of 3.6 Mbps.

The Netflix ISP Speed Index is a measure of prime time Netflix performance on a particular ISP and not a measure of overall performance for other services or data that may travel across the specific ISP network. Faster Netflix performance generally means better picture quality, quicker start times and fewer interruptions.
