Homes On The Range Sell Out

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo, - The developers of Wildhorse Meadows, Steamboat’s first master planned residential resort community, have announced the sell out of all custom homesites at The Range. The 41 homesites sold for a total of $21.6 million and marked the first major contribution to the redevelopment of Steamboat’s Base Area.

The Range is the first release since the unanimous approval of the Wildhorse Meadows development plan by the City Council in July 2006. Homesite owners found the concept of “Home on the Range” appealing enough to have purchased all the sites only four months after a sales selection event held in October. The homes at The Range will become a part of a unique residential resort community that will offer a mix of housing types including resort lodge suites, town homes, mountain lofts, a proposed-branded hotel, and attainable housing, along with a wide variety of community amenities and a proposed gondola outside the community’s back door.

“The sell out of The Range indicates that our intent to honor the area’s rich history and distinctly Western spirit while offering neighborhood amenities have struck a chord with mountain homeowners,” said David Hill, President, Resort Ventures West. “We expected that homeowners would greet this project with enthusiasm, but we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly our unique concept caught on.”

The news of The Range sell out follows closely upon the announcement of plans for Trailhead Lodge, an inviting 86-suite full-ownership resort lodge and the first building of the community’s master plan. Pre-sale registration for Trailhead has begun.

Owners at both Trailhead Lodge and The Range will have access to amenities such as the Wildhorse Athletic Club with a fitness facility, pools, grotto hot tubs and a game room; the Ranch House, a great room for the community; the soon-to-be-developed Wildhorse Gondola, and a network of neighborhood walking and biking trails.

Wildhorse Meadows is being developed by Resort Ventures West, a Steamboat-based developer, in strategic partnership with S&P Destination Properties, a real estate company specializing in the master planning, marketing and sales of resort and luxury real estate across the world.
