Pitchfork readers–and die-hard music fans–have been traveling across the world to experience the brand’s annual festivals in Chicago and Paris since 2006. After the successful launch of the festival’s London edition in 2021, the brand remains bullish on the continued expansion of its international festival footprint.

“Following the celebratory return of Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago last year, along with the sold out debut of Pitchfork London and the success of Pitchfork Paris, it feels exhilarating to launch our first-ever festival in Berlin—a city that has long served as a global focal point of culture and creativity,” said Puja Patel, editor-in-chief of Pitchfork. “It’s heartwarming to see Pitchfork resonate with music fans around the world and grow our community in new cities.”

“Finally!” said Scumeck Sabottka, CEO of MCT Agentur. “This is our second attempt at hosting Pitchfork Music Festival Berlin and we are glücklich, it´s happening at last.”

“We’re thrilled to be today announcing our first incredible artists for the second Pitchfork Festival London—and to be part of a growing family of events now in Paris and Berlin in the same period,” said Dan Monsell, co-managing director of FORM. “We were blown away by the reception to the launch of Pitchfork Festival in the UK last year, and we can’t wait to develop the event into its second year. With so much exciting music across the bill, it’s going to be a really amazing five days–plus we have more incredible stuff to announce ahead of November too!”

“I’m so excited to welcome Pitchfork Music Festival back to Paris for its 11th year,” said Julien Catala, CEO of Super! “Since 2011, the Parisian strand of the festival has gone from strength to strength, showcasing some of the best avant-garde and international live music of our time. This year, once again, the festival focuses on an even more innovative lineup, visiting some of the most iconic live music venues in Paris, converging a program of exciting newcomers and an even more inclusive and diverse collection of genres including hip-hop, hyperpop, electro, R&B, indie pop and much, much more. Pitchfork Paris 2022 continues the exciting evolution of the festival and will definitely surprise us all once again.”
