Yat Partners With Cake Wallet to Simplify Crypto Transactions

The company is integrating its emoji identity system with Cake Wallet, a move that will make crypto more easily accessible to the masses.

Nashville, Tennessee, United States – WEBWIRE

Yat, the company transforming online identities through personalized emojis, today announced its integration with Cake Wallet and Monero.com to simplify crypto transactions. Cake Wallet is a leading noncustodial cryptocurrency wallet for BTC, LTC, XHV and XMR with over 200,000 users, and the first digital wallet to support emojis for crypto transactions. Starting May 26, the Yat community will be able to easily add their Cake Wallet addresses to their yats to be able to use emojis instead of long unwieldy addresses to send and receive crypto.

“At Yat, we want to make blockchain technology accessible for everyone. It’s a nightmare to send or receive digital currency today, said Yat co-founder and CEO, Naveen Jain. “The long addresses that are currently used to send and receive funds are extremely risky. One typo and your money is gone forever. Through our partnership with Cake Wallet, we’re making it possible for users to send and receive crypto using our unique emoji identifiers which simplifies the transaction process while also giving users peace of mind.”

According to a recent survey by the University of Chicago, more than 1 in 10 Americans today invest in cryptocurrency. With the crypto community expanding to the masses, usability is becoming a central issue. Yat’s integration of digital wallet platforms like Cake Wallet’s signifies the company’s continued efforts towards changing the payments space to make it more user-friendly. The integration comes after Yat partnered with OpenSea, to give Yat users the chance to buy and sell yats as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the largest secondary market for NFTs in the world.

“Our mission at Cake Wallet is to make crypto dead simple. Today’s integration with Yat signifies a major step towards achieving that goal.” said Vik Sharma, CEO of Cake Wallet and Monero.com. “Cake Wallet and Monero.com users can now easily register their wallet addresses with their Yats, giving them the ability to easily send and receive funds using their emoji identifiers. We are excited to partner with Yat to make Cake Wallet more user-friendly to the more than 200,000 users who trust us with their crypto transactions.”

With over 90% of the 4.6 billion internet users around the globe using emojis to express themselves every day, using emojis to trade crypto currencies effectively demystifies the space, and something that once seemed difficult for people to understand can now be understood through a universal language: emojis.

Yat and Cake Wallet are hosting a contest to celebrate this milestone. The competition entails creating a custom Yat that best captures the new integration and privacy for a chance to win 1 XMR. Entries will be judged live on Twitter Spaces by Yat co-founders Naveen Jain, Riccardo Spagni and Cake CEO Vik Sharma. Head to @whatsyouyat or @cakewallet on Twitter to learn more.

About Yat:

Yat Labs is the inventor of Yats - a self-sovereign identity solution based on emojis. Emojis are used to convey emotion, tell stories, connect, and share interests in beautifully simple ways, making Yats a brand-new way to express oneself online. Yats enable people to own a custom string of emojis that best represent them; instead of a typical text-based username like @janesmith535, someone could be 🔥🐉, or 👁❤️🍦, or 🦄🤖💃🏽.

Yats have exploded in popularity since their launch on February 1, 2021 and are currently being used by artists such as Steve Aoki, Lil Wayne, Common, G-Eazy, The Roots, Kesha, and Disclosure. Anyone can create their own Yat and be an icon at: y.at

About Cake Wallet:

Cake Wallet, which is owned and operated by Cake Labs LLC, was the first open source Monero wallet on IOS in 2018. It has since added other coins and is now available on Android as well. Earlier this year, Cake launched the Monero.com app for a focused Monero experience. Cake’s goal is to bring crypto to the masses through a simple intuitive UI/UX for beginners yet robust features for more advanced users. For over four years, Cake has helped its users send, receive, and exchange crypto safely and easily.
