Back in the real world, Courtney has to face her family problems—not to mention her pubescent stage, and fears of becoming a teen or a fully grown woman. The enchanting place of Elysia is her escape. Although Elysia is the perfect place for children like Courtney, the Evil King stole the Crystal of Light, and what was once magical is now slowly dying.

To restore peace to the land, Courtney and her brave friends must go on a quest—a journey to the Maelstrom. Along with their pursuit of the magic crystal, Courtney’s friends “Light Swords” have to embark on a perilous journey. They have to conquer the Dark King’s soldier and fight a huge black snake, and a pack of wolves. About the Author

Malcolm Chester has a lifelong interest in writing and science fiction, which he reads with some regularity. He earned a bachelor’s degree from an Ivy League college in Political Science and a master’s degree in child study from a private college in Massachusetts early in his career. He minored in creative writing while in college. Later in life, the author earned a Juris Doctorate degree. He has been a public affairs executive at a major corporation and has continued to work in this area as a consultant while also practicing law.
