Janet V. Grillo Found That God Creates Miracles Through Ordinary People When They Least Expect Them

She Chronicles her story in the Memoir “God Promised Me Wings to Fly: Life for Survivors After Suicide.”

WEBWIRE

On December 13, 2001, Janet’s husband died tragically. She does not know if his death was by suicide, assisted suicide, suggested suicide, or murder. After his death, she discovered that her husband lived a double life with alleged connections to the Philadelphia mafia. She questioned everything she thought she knew about her life and marriage, including other family members and friends.

Janet fell into a deep depression with suicidal thoughts. She had so many questions. How could she make sense of it all? Where was God, and why did He let this happen? What use was there in going on? Could she ever find joy and hope again? Did she even have a purpose anymore – or had it gone to the grave with her husband?

Today Janet helps others overcome their grief and gives them hope for a better tomorrow. “God Promised Me Wings to Fly: Life for Survivors After Suicide” motivates and empowers those going through their darkest times; whether due to the death of a loved one, a disaster, or challenges. She helps others to find hope and a new purpose for their life.

In “God Promised Me Wings to Fly,” readers will walk alongside Janet to solve the puzzles she encountered. Readers will feel her heart as she describes how her Christian faith helped her endure and conquer adversity. While the path to healing after a tragic loss can be messy and long, readers will discover that life does not end there, and God has a purpose for our lives if we just have the patience to wait for God’s timing.

Readers will find hope in this honest, open, authentic, and inspirational story of Janet’s journey from “Victim to Victory.” They will discover that the healing process will start sooner rather than later in the middle of their pain and hardships.

“God Promised Me Wings to Fly” was well-received and garnered positive reviews, such as this one from the Library Journal:

“Grillo’s aim above all else is to motivate and encourage readers in hopeless circumstances: her book’s approach is to tell readers that God will restore them and that the time frame for healing directly correlates to their interactions with God. . … Readers dealing with a loved one’s unexpected death, who believe in God as Grillo does, will particularly appreciate this book.”

Within “God Promised Me Wings to Fly,” readers discover that they too can find the courage, determination, self-love, and faith to honor and value who they are despite their circumstances . . . because God always has their back and will give them “wings to fly.”
