Katonya is the creator, editor, and author of “The Kenzie Chronicles.” These elementary book series are designed to tell stories that highlight diversity while promoting and delivering a positive message. Her elementary realistic fiction books series includes “Kenzie’s Field Day Experience,” “A Tea Party for Kenzie” and “Kenzie Understands the Meaning of Mixed.”

She is also the author of the Reflections of You expressive writing journal series. She lives in the Nutmeg State, CT, and enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. Before she started writing children’s books, Katonya was an executive in corporate America, where she received her graduate degree in organizational leadership from Quinnipiac University.
