Feeling heavy in the heart? Going through a rough patch? Having a hard time holding on to the past? Why not find comfort and consolation, healing and freedom in Lisa Michelle Gordier’s poetry book “A Call From the Darkness: A Collection of Dark Poetry” (ReadersMagnet; 2022).

Gordier said: ”‘A Call From the Darkness’ is a collection of poetry that is filled with extreme grief, pain, and loss. It is a book that shines a light upon the dark times in our lives as it explores the horrors (feelings) we often bury so deep because we don’t want others, especially our loved ones, to see them.”

“We all have grief, sadness, and difficulties in our lives, the horror in us all which others will not see how terrified we are.”

So Gordier took her own grief and sorrows and placed them out in the light to share with readers so they would know they’re never alone in their feelings.

Reading the poems in “A Call From the Darkness” is like watching a movie from front to back. Poems in the collection include “The Price of Anger,” “No Better Than Before,” and “Gone to the Darkness.”
