“I AM MUSIC” by Pamela McGee Wilkinson will be displayed at the LA Times Festival of Books 2022

This book was written and assembled delightedly by the author for the only goal of bringing attention to the topic: Mr. Dimash Kudaibergen, a singer from Kazakhstan. According to the author and millions of fans around the world, Dimash is the best singer that the world has to offer.

Wilkinson refers to her book as a fan book, which is a book that is written by a fan of a star she admires. People are all admirers of someone or some group and like to follow their talent, work, or words, among other things. Wilkinson is following all three in the instance of Dimash. Dimash is a 27-year-old man with a heart and spirit much older than his years.

This book chronicles not just the author’s relationship with Dimash but also the relationships of millions of his followers, who are called “Dears” and who are pleased to admit to a certain addiction. His music is an extraterrestrial diversion and is similar to finding that needle in a haystack that is almost impossible to discover and when it is, you hold it up to the light and marvel at its existence. It’s something his serious “Dears” do daily. Holding him up to the light and attempting to share him with others is a common occurrence.

About the Author
Pamela McGee Wilkinson has been writing since the fourth grade when her mom complimented her on her writing skills contained in her 4-H camp letter to home. Later, in high school, the biography she penned about a classmate of hers, was singled out as the best example in the class. She became more prolific in the 80s when she started writing poetry. Then came newsletters, skits, lyrics for existing music, and articles for local newspapers. She lives in southern Utah USA, is the widow of Kenneth Wilkinson, mother of three and grandmother of eight.
