Author Bob Bogner Relaunches “Wilder: A Social Fantasy” to Simplify Understanding of Past and Present Socioeconomic Policies, and Their Effects on Citizens

Carbondale, CO – WEBWIRE

Where would you live if you had a choice of which country to be born in, what qualities to have, physical features, degree of intelligence, and economic status? Will you opt for countries that encourage capitalism’s economic freedom? Or would you prefer the drab but stable economy of communist states? Bob Bogner delivers a thought-provoking narrative via the ideas of “Wilder in his book Wilder: A Social Justice Fantasy.”

“Wilder: A Social Justice Fantasy” is a rational, easy-to-understand thought experiment that depicts a concept of social justice based on personal responsibility (Sartre), reason (Kant), and fairness (Rawls). Despite the fact that each of these philosophies is difficult to grasp, the experiment brings their perspectives together in a clear and compelling way, much like Einstein’s thought experiments did with his theory of special relativity. The experiment takes place within a mother’s womb, with the characters being fetuses who have no idea what their inborn traits are or what type of society they would be born into. From this “starting posture,” a logical theory of social and political justice is built, with the goal of contributing to a better, fairer society.

Bogner used Wilder to better understand historical events, focusing on social justice, the economy, and government type. He produced a powerful allegory that addresses important and relevant issues such as fairness, justice, and how to strike a balance between individual rights and state authority. This book can aid readers who want a wide historical perspective on how economic, political, or underlying cultural biases impact life. We are all engulfed in a thicket of cultural influences, and Wilder explains these profound and substantial implications.
