Barnes & Noble Selects Noah Hawley’s Anthem as January 2022 National Book Club Selection

Readers are Invited to a Free Virtual Book Club Event Featuring Noah Hawley on Tuesday, February 8

New York, NY – WEBWIRE

Barnes & Noble today announced Anthem by Noah Hawley as the January 2022 selection for the Barnes & Noble Book Club, a monthly book club designed for readers across the country to discuss the most compelling books.

Barnes & Noble is selling a special, exclusive Book Club edition of Anthem as well as hosting a free LIVE virtual event with Noah Hawley on Tuesday, February 8, at 3:00 PM Eastern Time. Registration via Eventbrite is required. Customers can purchase the exclusive edition, in-stores or online at BN.com.

“We are kicking off the 2022 Book Club Selections with Anthem: part-thriller, part fairy tale, and all instant classic. The unforgettable characters pair with a plot as fast and bright as pop cinema,” said Shannon DeVito, Director of Books, Barnes & Noble. “Noah Hawley writes with the bravado and literary power that has made him into one of the most treasured writers in American literature. It is a multifaceted and brilliant novel that I know our Book Club readers will love.”

Barnes & Noble invites customers to join the B&N Book Club Facebook Group to share their views of the book as well as attend the virtual Book Club event next month. Noah Hawley will be in a round table conversation with Barnes & Noble’s Shannon DeVito and Miwa Messer, the host of Poured Over, the B&N Podcast.

“For any novel in our modern world to be successful, first it has to cut through the noise. Social media, online culture, entertainment on demand,” said Noah Hawley. “I’m grateful to Barnes & Noble for helping me take that first, critical step. For Anthem be singled out by this hallowed institution as a noteworthy book, a book you have to read, not just want to read, is a true honor.”

The virtual event with Noah Hawley on February 8 will be hosted on Zoom. Registration via Eventbrite is required. Before the virtual event, customers can also join in discussion at their convenience on the new B&N Book Club Facebook group and on social media via the hashtag #BNBookClub.
