Manjy Sidoo and Family: Fight Against The Pandemic

Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada – WEBWIRE

COVID-19 quickly became an out-of-control pandemic never seen before in anyone’s lifetime. It wasn’t long before places had to close or change the way they do business. The world changed once the pandemic started flooding hospitals.

Manjy, the mother of Dylan and Jordan and wife of David Sidoo, helped orchestrate a plan for Sidoo Family Giving to help in various ways during the pandemic. While there have been many unknowns since shutdowns started in the spring of 2020, they knew there would be a need for helping hands. That’s why they quickly got to work with several different initiatives shortly after closures became widespread.

Shortly after COVID-19 started shutting down virtually everything in Canada, Sidoo Family Giving crafted a COVID-19 Emergency Program. Manjy’s family started working directly with nonprofits to provide hand sanitizers, masks, and more essentials for those most in need.

The focus was on providing these tools to fight against the virus for those most vulnerable to complications. Low-income families, seniors, and more needed the most help.

Some of the programs in Vancouver that Manjy at Sidoo Family Giving worked with includes Whole Way House, 10th Avenue Church, and the Richmond Sikh temple. In just a short amount of time, hundreds of products became available to those who could benefit from them.

At COVID-19’s peak, the entire family dedicated hours of free time each week to help out as much as possible. Getting supplies out quickly and safely made a significant impact on helping keep case levels down.

Breakfast clubs have grown in popularity across Canada, which is why ultimately going away would hurt many families during the pandemic. Sidoo Family Giving worked with schools to still provide those free breakfast options for those in need. Not only that, but the breakfast clubs were ready to go in many schools as soon as they opened up again. Her sons Jordan and Dylan have also made their contributions.

According to the Manjy Sidoo LinkedIn page, the family has their hands in helping schools all across Canada with this initiative. Working with the Breakfast Club has significantly impacted numerous children of all ages.

Manjy Sidoo and her family plans to work with the World Vision Project and Rise Daughters of India were in place before COVID-19. However, the focus on helping out smaller Punjab village schools became even more of an essential task once health became such a more significant concern.

Teaming up with Nav Bhatia, another successful Indo-Canadian businessman, the Sidoo family helped improve female restroom facilities in schools. The money also improves the overall environment and keeps children healthy while getting an education.
