“I’m just the paintbrush. Jesus is the painter. I am His humble servant.”

Charles Breitweiser is the living proof of the love and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ. Not only has God saved his physical life from a serious car wreck as a senior in high school, He also saved his emotional life from the demons of fear, depression, and self-hatred.

How many people are feeling like that today? With the Lord on his heart, he started writing inspirational poetry on the tablet of his heart. He’s not trying to take any of the glory for himself; he owes it all to the love of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Charles is just the paintbrush; God is the painter.

As a result of his car accident, in 1979, he lost the ability to use his left arm and leg. He did pretty well, during that time, dealing with depression, and all the other psychological maladies that accompany anyone who suffered a life-altering loss. By turning his life over to Jesus Christ, he became gainfully employed, got married, bought a house, had 2 children, relying wholly on his right arm and leg. Until New year’s day of 2015, through a freak accident on the train in New York, he twisted around his right foot causing the ankle bones to pop and the tibia and fibula of the lower right leg (yes, the only good leg he had), to split almost up to the knee. After 11 surgeries and a year of physical therapy, He regained his ability to walk. This was the time he leaned completely on his faith in Jesus Christ. He learned that it’s easy to be faithful when your life is going well, but God brings us closer through our struggles and suffering.

Charles Breitweiser discovered his purpose. It was for him to use the suffering he faced in life as a way to help others who suffer in life; by helping others change their way of thinking to acknowledge the blessings and love of Jesus Christ. After years of prayer and blaming God for making him suffer like this, he realized God’s mission for his life. God wrote a poem on his heart, “My New Attitude.” That was when he realized what God sent him to do.

He has been doing motivational speaking events for charities. Since then, God has written many other inspiring poems in his heart. A remarkable and thought-provoking book that was awarded the Editor’s Choice Award from the International Library of Poetry, 2005 on his book “Inspiration of Time” published in 2004. That was when Charles discovered the mission God has set for him, to be an example to people of how God can change ruined lives. He had the second edition of “Inspiration of Time” published in 2015, which contains more new poems, and some “dark” poems, and songs, just to show diversity.

The first edition (available at https://www.authorhouse.com) is written in large print for older readers. His website inspirationoftime.com has the second edition available, plus a few extra poems on the “Poetry” tab.

God speaks to Charles in his dreams and it usually results in an inspiring poem like; “My New Attitude.”

Charles is one of the only poets to ever write a little paragraph as to what inspired him to write each poem. This is a Self Help book as well as a spiritual book. He is an experienced public speaker and is available to appear on television or radio.
