Condé Nast Traveler US and Condé Nast Traveller announce the winners of the 2021 Reader’s Choice Awards
Condé Nast Traveler U.S. and U.K. jointly announced the winners of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards, ranking the best hotels, resorts, cities, countries, islands, spas, villas, tours, trains, car rentals, luggage, airlines, airports, tours, villas, and cruises in the world.
The full list of winners can be found online at Condé Nast Traveler U.S. and Condé Nast Traveller U.K., and celebrated in the November issues on newsstands today.
The Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry. More than 800,000 transatlantic readers submitted responses rating their travel experiences across the globe to provide a full snapshot about the places they can’t wait to return to next.
“As restrictions ease, it is clear that our readers have spent much of the last year and a half dreaming about travel and planning future adventures,” said Divia Thani, Global Editorial Director, Condé Nast Traveler. “The diversity and vibrancy of our Readers’ Choice Award winners represent a desire to get back out into the world and experience the best of what the travel industry has to offer.”
CNT’s Readers’ Choice Awards highlight industry trends and favorite destinations selected by travelers around the world. This year’s results saw a surge in close-to-home, rural escapes clinching top positions, like Wyoming’s Caldera House and Vermont’s Twin Farms, and more domestic winners across the board than in previous years. While two UK resorts, Gleneagles in Scotland and Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa in Hampshire, land within the top ten in Europe.
The 2021 awards also celebrate returning favorites, with year-over-year winner Japan taking the top three spots in the Best Large City in the World category. And in a year when our travel habits have had to adjust, an accompanying survey highlights how its readers have been, and hope to continue, traveling going forward.
