“Procrastinar,” from Guilt to Dancing

The Spanish word procrastinar (procrastinate) comes from the Latin word procrastinare, to put off until tomorrow; and from the Greek word akrasia, to act against our better judgement. A mix that usually leads to guilt and shame. However, at the beginning of this summer, while Spanish university students were taking their final exams, Molly Moon has released “Procrastinar,” a catchy song that invites us to celebrate rather than to feel guilty.
 
“Procrastinar”, the kind of song that doesn’t get out of your head and sticks with you all day long. This is Molly Moon’s second single, a qualitative leap with sounds closer to punk and rock, but still with lighthearted lyrics and a touch of humor that fits in with the ethereal tontipop, a genre that she already explored with her first song. A refreshing musical proposal that combines the skills of Molly Moon and of the producer NoahR, who brings that powerful sound base reminiscent of punk and who plays the electric guitar as well.
 
The song was released on all music platforms, almost at the same time as the music video. It’s a piece that has successfully translated into images the fresh sound and vibes of the early 00s. Not only is the music video worth watching, but the change in the singer’s aesthetics from her first song to this one is also very impressive. What surprises will she bring us in her next single?
