VSC Promotes Maggie Philbin, Eric Gonzalez, and Anne Sophie Hurst to Partner

San Francisco, CA – WEBWIRE

VSC, an independent communications firm that has supported more than 475 startups with 50 exits and three IPOs, announced today that three of its longtime executives -- Maggie Philbin, Anne Sophie Hurst and Eric Gonzalez -- have been promoted to Partner.

“It’s a dream team,” said Vijay Chattha, CEO at VSC, who founded the firm 18 years ago. “While many firms churn through senior teams and focus on new blood, we have promoted from within and the firm and its culture is a reflection of their grit, contributions and ethics.”

The trio joins Vijay and Archie Chattha as VSC Partners. Together, the promotions bring 40 years of shared experience to the firm, which has built an established presence scaling venture-backed technology startups across consumer and B2B verticals.

VSC’s experience represents a broad base of consumer and enterprise work for brands such as Admob (acquired by Google), Ample, BYJU’S, ClearCo, Envisics, Fastly (IPO), Honeybook, Autonomic (acquired by Ford), OpenInvest (acquired by JP Morgan), Immunai, Mammoth Biosciences, MapAnything (acquired by SalesForce), Molekule, Nearpod (acquired by Renaissance Learning for $650M), Nesos, Now Corp, Outdoorsy, Poshmark, SteelBrick (acquired by Salesforce), Tile, Tonal, Wyse (acquired by Dell), Xwing, Yodlee (IPO), and Zume.

Before VSC, Ms. Hurst spent two decades leading teams and clients at digital creative agencies Huge, Prolific Interactive, and Fluid, with clients across retail, lifestyle, tech, and startups in both NYC and the Bay Area, such as Google, Sephora, Overstock, Target and LeTote. After initially consulting on the talent side, she joined VSC full time to run operations and build its company culture.

Ms. Hurst helped transform VSC from its two offices in San Francisco and New York to a remote-first workforce across ten states and two continents. As part of the firm’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, she’s additionally doubled the number of BIPOC employees at the firm.
