Daupler Raises $4M to Help Cities and Utilities Transform Response to Emergencies

Live in 26 states and expanding to Canada and Brazil, Daupler helps utilities expedite service restoration, and enables millions of customers to easily communicate with their service providers

Kansas City, Mo. – WEBWIRE

Daupler, the software platform that helps cities, utilities, and other service providers manage their operations, today announced it has raised a $4 million round of funding led by Burnt Island Ventures with participation from Revolution Fund, Runway Venture Partners, Knoll Ventures, and KCRise Fund. The funding will allow Daupler to further strengthen its technical and commercial offering, and hire top-tier talent to drive growth. Tom Ferguson, managing partner of Burnt Island Ventures, will join Daupler’s Board of Directors.

Daupler is a first response software for utilities and public works that helps cities coordinate and document response efforts to take the pain out of response processes, provide operational insight, and easily push data to existing customer service and work order management systems. Daupler’s technology allows key service providers to automate triage and response to emergencies reported in their networks. Reporting parties can monitor the response to their issue in real-time, and providers experience a dramatic increase in efficiency and quality assurance. Daupler’s proprietary core engine transforms the customer experience using natural language processing, and reduces response times by 75 percent on average.

Daupler currently serves customers in 26 states in the U.S., expanding throughout Canada and Brazil, and has more than doubled its footprint in 2020. During the Artic Blast in February of this year, the company automated the response to more than 15,000 events, expedited service restoration, and enabled millions of people to easily communicate with their service providers.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to partner with this great group of investors who share our vision of revolutionizing response management,” said John Bertrand, CEO and co-founder of Daupler. “Our company is now well resourced and positioned to accelerate our expansion throughout municipalities, utilities, and many other service providers.”

“It’s always a huge pleasure to back companies that create extensive value in the lives of those who run our society. Daupler can become the operational engine of the city – and for any company or organization running a network of physical assets,” said Tom Ferguson, managing partner of Burnt Island Ventures. “John, Ryan and the team have done an exceptional job to date, they’re in a great position, and we’re delighted to join the team for the next stage of growth and impact.”
