As he climbs the hill, he brushes off the hounds and sprints to an abandoned copper mine till night.
Tamar is superior among all witches, and she communicates with the dead using old religious writings. With so many soldiers slain on the battlefield, mothers and spouses turn to her, who has a door to the underworld and can connect by drawing up the ghost of their lost love ones and reading their lips. Victor has become entrapped by Tamar.
Victor must return home to care for his sick daughter, Bessie. However, he is up against Tamar’s magic might. Basil informs him that his only hope is Autumn, a gorgeous ex-shave girl who understands Tamar’s secret and that the only way to get out is to kill the terrifying beast Tamar commands. For Victor, time is running out fast.
With so much going on at a fast pace, the book is difficult to put down. It is beyond enjoyable and will be a thrilling read for anyone.
