BDO Norway selects Propell.AI as the preferred AI partner

BDO now enters into an agreement with Propell.ai AS a partner for the accounting area and all their end customers. BDO gets access to a world-leading artificial intelligence platform that provides significant competitive advantages and a high degree of automation of finance and accounting processes. Propell.AI’s solutions simplify and automate manual processes so that BDO can significantly free up time and gain better control.

Propell AI is the preferred partner of the market’s leading AI platform for the enterprise market and large accounting firms in the Nordic region. The solution will be integrated with all ERP systems BDO uses and ensures that BDO receives one invoice handling system for all its clients. It makes everyday life easier for BDO’s accountants. With the help of artificial intelligence, one will automate up to 90 percent of incoming invoice processing. The solution is unique because it is based on a huge dataset that ensures learning at the macro, national, and company level. This means that the solution learns across all customers on the platform, and uses this to create the right accounting proposition adjusted to each individual client. This will provide great value for all BDOs clients, even for the smallest ones.

BDO is by far the largest of the consulting and auditing companies in accounting. The turnover in accounting has quadrupled to just over NOK 500 million over the past five years.

“In this mapping, we came in contact with Propell.ai, which marketed a modern and accurate technology. In a meeting with Propell, we got a good impression of the team we were to work with. At the same time, we wanted our own experiences with new technology in a process we are experts in,” says Tjemsland.

“This led to the design of a test, in which BDO’s accountants gained access to a demo environment. Here they could work on solving actual tasks, based on real invoices from their customers, in a protected environment. Such a test will of course have limitations, but through discussions between the advisers from Propell.ai and BDO’s accountants, they gained a good understanding of the technology and the solution.

“After the test, we have concluded that Propell.ai’s technology is accurate right down to the product line level, with a large degree of flexibility in the accounting propositions. We are far past the point where technology suggests the account where the total of the invoice was last entered. Another thing that led us to decide to use this solution is the interaction with our accountants. BDO’s accountants are specialists in various industries and customer segments.
