WEBWIRE

Oscar and Tony-nominated actress Kathleen Turner joins The Kominsky Method full-time for its third and final season, reprising her role as Sandy’s (Michael Douglas) ex-wife Roz when the comedy returns May 28. Drawn to the show by Douglas, with whom she’s worked on three films, and series creator Chuck Lorre, Turner is a well-known performer who is often recognized for her distinctive voice. But there’s much more to her than that. We caught up with Turner ahead of The Kominsky Method’s return to ask her a quick lightning round of questions that shed a little more light on who she is, what she loves about her job, and what she’s watching now.

  1. What has been the most memorable experience of your career so far? Doing Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? on Broadway

  2. What do you love about live theater versus film and TV? I love theatre because I love being right there with the audience—that feeling of being in this adventure together.

  3. Do you have a dream role or project that you haven’t gotten to yet? One of the joys of my career is not knowing what the next job, the next challenge will be.

  4. What is your ideal day off? A sunny day near the ocean with a mimosa and good friends,

  5. What series have you binged recently? After Prince Philip passed, I went back to The Crown and thoroughly enjoyed that.

  6. Who is someone you admire? I look up to many people: Norman Lear, Michelle Obama, Eleanor Roosevelt.
