“As part of our effort to be active contributors to combating the current environmental crisis, the Orfe EcoArt Program aims to provide an educational online platform in which instructors and students around the world are committed to engaging with a variety of tools and ideas that can be used to solve environmental problems.”

Orfelina Millan is an environmental artist and the founder of the Orfe Eco Art Program  a community engaged ecological art program for children. The online Orfe program is the first educational platform that is focused on tackling climate change. The Orfe EcoArt Program is specially designed to stimulate creativity and environmental responsibility in children and youth.

“The world’s current environmental conditions and the culture of uncontrolled consumerism, have brought with them a series of negative effects. These negative effects include an extreme loss of biodiversity and excessive waste generation, especially plastic pollution,” said Millan.

“Through the Orfe EcoArt Program, we have decided to take responsibility by working with governments of various levels, communities and other stakeholders, in order to be active contributors to solving the previously mentioned issues,” Millan continued. “As part of our effort to be active contributors to combating the current environmental crisis, the Orfe EcoArt Program aims to provide an educational online platform in which instructors and students around the world are committed to engaging with a variety of tools and ideas that can be used to solve environmental problems.”

The Orfe online platform will enable professional artists that are willing to create and align their workshops with its environmental guidelines, to use their artistic talents to teach a course to children and youth.

The Orfe environmental guidelines will provide direction and support for instructors while children are engaging with creative ideas. The guide’s content is centred around essential concepts that should be taken into account during the design and execution of projects. These subjects include various environmental concepts, the current environmental situation, and strategies used by the Canadian government to protect our environment. The Orfe EcoArt Program focuses on the outlined subjects as they align with the international environmental strategies it prioritizes.

This initiative could represent a great opportunity for creative individuals with an interest in education to benefit from a platform which will help connect them with a new audience, generate income and use their gifts to make a difference in the world.

Orfe is always looking to connect and work with artists and creative educators that would like to explore and share their talent through educational online workshops and be an inspiration for our children and youth.
