Tish Oh Yeah Releases New Music Video: “Sugar Rush”

Singer-songwriter Tish Oh Yeah has unveiled the most recent music video from her debut album “BLACK.”

Her single “Sugar Rush” was mixed by Berlin-based producer Hello Trip. The music video, directed by international videographer Alejo Ardila, was filmed in the Andean Mountains of South America, and it depicts a viking warrior running from evil and transcending her path at the end. “Sugar Rush” talks about finding strength from our own dreams and being able to overcome fear by being brave. “Is not brave who’s not scared,” says Tish. “There’s power in authenticity and that is the message in the song.”

“I firmly believe in appreciating duality to be happy in life.” Tish continues: “Fear is inherent in being brave and sometimes when things don’t go how we want them to, we feel disappointed and sad; but it is necessary to acknowledge this is part of life and that it contributes to our journey. Also there’s power in uniqueness. As a woman (and as a person) I want to feel as an individual, not being known as someone else’s wife or sister…”

Tish is a Colombian artist who started singing at a very young age in punk and pop-rock bands, inspired by 90’s pop. Later in her career Tish decided to go as a solo artist and began writing and producing her own music. Overcoming the challenge of not being a trained musician, Tish had to learn music theory and how to play piano to start creating her music, as well as music production to record her songs and to be able to sneak a peak on what she actually had in her mind.

“‘Sugar Rush’ was the epitome of my career till that point. From the moment of the song’s conception to the making of the video. It has been a path where there have been many challenges and times where I needed to remind myself to believe.” - Tish says.
