Corratec goes Giro d’Italia!

WEBWIRE

Together with our new italian UCI Pro cycling Team Vini Zabù we will participate in the Grand Tours classics Giro d’Italia 2021.

This traditional cycling race is one of the three most famous races in the international road bike racing level, along with the Tour de France and the Tour of Spain Vuelta. This year’s 104th edition of the Giro d’Italia will start on May 08, 2021 with a 9-kilometer time trial in Turin, also known as the Grande Partenza, and will end on May 30 at the Milan Cathedra after 23 stages. In the UCI World Tour race will start 23 teams, 19 of them are set and 4 teams receive a wildcard to participate in the race. Our team Vini Zabù will be present with eight professional cyclists and will challenge themselves to the limits of their performance. According to an announcement, this year’s Giro d’Italia will include the Colle Fauniera climb. This uphill path with almost 25 kilometers with a gradient of 7 percent is also called Hill of the Dead. More specific details on the individual stages will be released by the race organization in the upcoming weeks. However, it is a known fact that all leading road cycling teams of the World Tour will participate in this year’s Giro d’Italia.

“We are absolutely thrilled with our new CCT EVO’s and can’t wait to ride the first races”, said Jakub Mareczko. “The CCT EVO is not only super light but also extremely stiff. This is especially evident in the rear triangle, bottom bracket and head tube. Due to the special frame shapes, the road bike provides safety and control on high-speed slopes and therefore offers the optimal conditions for racing at world-class level. Especially for the Giro d’Italia, the corratec CCT EVO is more than just a weapon for us.”

We look forward to some spectacular and exciting races and wish our Team good luck and success for the upcoming season.
