BRF, one of the largest food companies in the world, expanded its integrity system, created in 2018 and already reaping the first fruits in 2021. The team of Ambassadors for Integrity was instrumental in the certification process of the ISO 37.001 anti-bribery management system. Now, there are more than 220 people representing all vice-presidencies in 100% of the company’s locations around the planet, twice as many ambassadors compared to the beginning of 2020, with a fundamental role to consolidate the governance of the system.

“Our result is the result of a voluntary process by people and demonstrates the commitment of employees to dedicate part of their time to integrity programs. This team was essential in the ISO 37001 certification process and helped us to ensure 100% of the employees trained in the transparency manual and in the use of the new digital forms. The Ambassadors’ commitment to ethics and excellence in their functions was essential to assist the compliance area ”, explains Reynaldo Goto, BRF’s compliance director.

The expansion of the team and the maintenance of transparency programs continue to be vital for reducing risks and protecting the reputation, not only of BRF, but of employees and their business partners. According to Goto, there was a 200% increase in self-declaration of information and clarification of sensitive points in all areas.

“It is a work of continuous learning. We understand and map the risks inherent in our production chain, which is alive, long and complex, with constant meetings in order to guide and raise awareness among employees and partners so that this work is efficient and sustainable. We intend to further expand governance systems and improve our levels of maturity according to the best practices present in initiatives such as the United Nations Global Compact (UN) to be a reference in the universal principles of integrity ", emphasizes Goto.
