Betcris CEO JD Duarte among Gaming Intelligence’s list of “Magnificent Seven” gaming executives

Each year, Gaming Intelligence produces a list, the “Hot 50,” of the top executives in the gaming industry, those individuals who continue to make a difference and help the industry mature responsibly.  Centered almost exclusively on providing data and news that drives the global gaming market, Gaming Intelligence has its finger firmly on the pulse of all activity, monitoring what’s coming and going.  In deciding who makes it to the Hot 50 list, it’s rare that the same industry executive would be listed two years in a row.  However, it can happen, especially if there is an outstanding need to recognize a particular individual.  This year, Betcris CEO JD Duarte is one of those individuals.  

Gaming Intelligence updated its Hot 50 list recently, following it up with inside details on the “eternal Hot 50,” of which there are only seven names.  These people are the true industry leaders, those who are “so hot they cannot be excluded” two years in a row.  The logic behind the outlet’s decision to list gaming executives in consecutive years is that it would lead to stagnation and the list would lose its relevance.  The seven individuals Gaming Intelligence singles out are the definitive representations of what is driving success in gaming and allowing it to receive more acceptance everywhere.  

In emphasizing the role Duarte has had, and continues to have, on the gaming industry, Gaming Intelligence points to the success Betcris has had as it has become the “biggest operator” in Latin America.  It adds that the sports gambling and gaming platform is “looking at consistent growth for the next decade at least,” which can directly be attributed to the dedication and energy Duarte provides to the platform.  

Duarte joins other industry leaders, such as Entain CEO Shay Segev and bet365 CEO Denise Coates, as well as Neil McArthur, the CEO of the UK Gambling Commission.  These, along with only a small handful of other executives, continue to raise the bar for all gaming operators entering the market while, at the same, developing strategies that are meant to deliver a unified gaming solution that can be applied to any local market.  As iGaming and online sports gambling continue to become more prevalent, these individuals, in particular, are going to ensure the industry becomes robust and trustworthy, and based on a platform of integrity and transparency.
