About the Author

Linwood J. Williams is a native of Nash County, North Carolina. He is a retired Mental Health Professional who ran his own Mental Health company for a number of years. Linwood was also a ten-year veteran of the Rocky Mount Police Department, where he worked with youth in the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program. Him and his wife Betty recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. They are the proud parents of 4 grown children and seven grandchildren.  His love for children is well known throughout the community. He attributes his writing interest to his rural upbringing, and his love for the spoken language. He likes to salute his late Grandfather, Jolly Williams Sr, whom he is also named after, for his love for reading, even though he never had an extensive formal education.
