“We are so excited and so honored to receive this award,” said Debra Stangl, the Founder and President of Sedona Soul Adventures. “CXO Fortune is particularly focused on technology and the Internet and they were impressed with how we are now bringing our Sedona retreats to people all over the world, through the use of technology. To be recognized along with such other luminaries as Genentech and R3 Stem Cell, it’s kind of overwhelming.”

Sedona Soul Adventures was founded in 2002, providing “life changing and transformational” retreats for individuals and couples. “But it really started back in 1999 when I came to Sedona for the first time,” says Debra. “At that time, every part of my life was a mess. I had just started my 20th year as a divorce attorney and I was completely stressed out and burned out. I was in an unhappy marriage, 40 pounds overweight, and $50,000 in debt.

“I came to Sedona for what I thought was going to be three days of quiet, but instead, I did one session with an amazing Practitioner here, Enocha Ranjita Ryan, and got the message I had to leave my law practice and change my life,” Debra recalls. Two weeks after returning home, $50,000 fell out of the sky; six months later, she closed her practice, and spent the next three years traveling to Sedona to embark on her own personal healing journey.

Two weeks before 9/11, she received a message to move to Sedona. Once here, she sat for six months without any direction on how to move ahead. “Then I started having dreams and was shown that my working one-on-one in private sessions with these amazing Practitioners who are so skilled at utilizing the Sedona energy and taking you from where you are to where you want to be had transformed my entire life,” Debra explains. “I was shown how I could recreate that experience for others by compressing it into 3 or 4 days.”

Unlike a group retreat or workshop, each Sedona Soul Adventures retreat is completely custom-designed for each individual or couple for exactly the transformations they need and desire. The company offers completely private sessions, one-on-one or two-on-one (for couples), not in groups. A Soul Adventure has a beginning, a middle, and an end and is designed to be transformational, taking you from where you are to where you want to be. Plus, they offer ongoing support. They work with over 50 of the Master Practitioners of Sedona, who are Practitioners of almost every known modality.

When the pandemic hit,  Sedona Soul Adventures went to zero overnight. But the dynamic company was up and running, finding innovative ways to reach and serve people.

“Within two weeks, we were doing Virtual Retreats (what we are calling ‘At Home’ Retreats), and I have to say the results have been astounding,” Debra says. “Now that we know how powerful the At Home Retreats are, we can bring those to people all over the world. We’ve opened up again for in-Sedona retreats, and people need this now more than ever.”

At the same time after the pandemic hit, Debra began doing free Masterclasses on Zoom utilizing her many different Practitioners and “those were very well attended and I received so many emails from people telling me how much the Masterclasses helped them through lock down.”

For 60 straight days during the pandemic, Debra also did a free meditation on Facebook Live every morning at 7 am, in an attempt to “Raise the Vibration” of the planet out of fear and into love and connection. “People also got to see my new puppy, Beau, and watch him grow up over those 2 months, which everybody loved.”

“I was also able to do something I’d wanted to do for many years but never had the time until now,” she explained. She launched the “Meeting the Masters” podcast with compelling interviews of such luminaries as Dr. John Gray, John Assaraf, Dr. Christiane Northrup, Janet Attwood, and so on. The podcasts are available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcast, and Spotify. “It has been so much fun and so uplifting to interview so many of my heroes,” she said.

The CXO Fortune is a group of entrepreneurs, writers and designers who have a passion for technology. They have both an online presence and a glossy magazine. They say, “In its latest issue, 10 Best Companies, CXO Fortune brings you various companies that have stood the odds, battled its roadblocks and strengthened its foundation to ensure that humanity can rely on them.”

This time last year Sedona Soul Adventures was named to the prestigious Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Small Companies in the US for 2019.
