“Ready for Christmas”
The month of December brings an end to the year,
The magic of Christmas, love, and good cheer.
It’s always a job to untangle the lights,
To get them all working, shiny and bright.
The tree is decorated with tinsel and bows;
At the top sits a beautiful star all a-glow.
The house is all festive from ceiling to floor,
The Christmas cards mailed, the wreath hung on the door.
The cookies are baked, fresh from the oven -
All kinds and shapes - we counted six dozen.
Christmas Eve has arrived, and we’re all set.
This promises to be our best Christmas yet.
