Uforia Celebrates the Best in Latin Music and Pop Culture with “Lo Mejor del 2020” (The Best of 2020)

Uforia, The Home of Latin Music, today announced the launch of “Lo Mejor del 2020” (The Best of 2020), a monthlong programming slate featuring robust original audio and video content on Uforia’s linear and digital platforms including playlists, videos, polls, trivia and the return of “Uforia Celebra” (Uforia Celebrates), as well as the debut of a new podcast “Why Latin Music Mattered in 2020.” Launching December 4^th and running through December 31, “Lo Mejor del 2020” celebrates the best Latin music and pop culture moments from this unforgettable year. Sponsored by State Farm, the content will run across Uforia radio stations nationwide, on Uforia’s digital and social platforms and on the Uforia app. In addition, “Uforia Live,” part of Univision’s Uforia Music Series, will return to New York for its final livestream concert of the year featuring reggaeton superstars Sech and Dalex on Thursday, December 10.

“Lo Mejor del 2020,” sponsored by State Farm, will include exclusive Regional Mexican, Latin Rhythmic and Tropical curated playlists on the Uforia app; a new 30-minute video episode of “Uforia Celebra,” celebrating the year’s virtuosity, resilience and triumphs in Latin Music, hosted by Evelyn Sicairos; and  the new podcast, “Why Latin Music Mattered in 2020.” Hosted by Uforia Countdown host Jackie Guerrido, “Why Latin Music Mattered in 2020” explores how music connected the Latino community in the U.S. during the height of the pandemic and how Latin music superstars pivoted to virtual audiences and created new, intimate experiences for fans.

“Uforia Celebra” is available on Uforia Music’s YouTube channel. The series originally premiered in December 2019 with “Uforia Celebra Explosión Urbana – La Época de Oro” (Uforia Celebrates Urban Explosion: The Golden Age) a televised music special that dove into the Latin Urban movement.

Rounding out Uforia’s year-end programming, “Uforia Live” returns to New York for the year’s final virtual livestream concert with superstars Sech and Dalex. Sponsored by Associated Supermarket Group, Nissan, Boost Mobile, Hennessey and NY Eye Specialists, this exclusive experience will be hosted by New York’s La X 96.3 on-air sensations Brea Frank and Shino Aguakate. Previous installments of “Uforia Live” this year featured Bad Bunny, Christian Nodal, the Black Eyed Peas, Sebastian Yatra and more. To date, the livestreamed concerts have garnered 12.3 million multiplatform views.
