Author Weaves Socio-Political Drama in Intriguing Historical Fiction

How do four noble women break free from being pawns in the great game of dynastic politics?

Massachusetts , USA – WEBWIRE

“I would like readers to understand that history contains many lessons and that women played a key – if often underappreciated – role in shaping the history of this period which lies at the very beginning of modern times,” stated Rogers.

Author Amelia Rogers shares a decisive period in history and the characters that play vital roles in its transition from the Dark Ages to a new era with her novel, “Four Princesses from Provence.”

In “Four Princesses from Provence,” author Rogers introduces the four daughters of the Count of Provence. Using their charms, beauty and intelligence, they move from their father’s small kingdom in the south of France to positions of power across Europe. But one daughter will find how vastly different her new world can be and how it’s going to change everything she believes and knows.

Brought on by her classical background and love of the Middle Ages, Rogers has a lot of love for Dante’s “Divine Comedy.” The great Italian poet’s reference to Count and his daughters inspired the author to write “Four Princesses from Provence.” Readers will find that in these pages, there are stories of strong women who thrive even in social conditions where women’s rights and respect had not yet evolved.

The author hopes her work will provide readers with a good story and some dynamic entertainment as well as improve their knowledge of history and the background to important historical events.
