#ConV2X 2020 Hits at Health Equity and Affordability
The C-suite cadre of world renowned experts gathered to accelerate and challenge the healthcare industry at ConV2X 2020, focused on several topics presented during Day 1 of the symposium themed “US-World Health Transformation.”
Keynotes from Teladoc Health, World Health Organization and Mayo Clinic Platform emphasized transforming healthcare with digital health and virtual care delivery systems to make care affordable and equitable to decrease disparities and create global standards and regulations for citizens and health systems around the world.
“It appears the bell has finally tolled for empathy and humanitarianism across the global health ecosystem that now calls for cooperative parity. It is high time digital health and digital therapeutics took their seat in the front row – it’s the only path forward to lower cost that can reach every citizen regardless of geography and income,” stated Tory Cenaj, ConV2X Founder and Curator.
Throughout the day, interoperability was highlighted with speakers presenting from the UK, India, North America and the European Union, to co-ordinate patient care. FHIR and HL7 standards are in early adoption where multidisciplinary participants including clinicians must participate.
The consensus is that patients will enable interoperability by enabling trust – a pivotal facet of adoption and scale.
Day 2 will focus on real world examples, economics, ethics and new virtual health companies.
