About the Author
Dr. Sandra Birchfield is married with two children who are also married. She has four grandchildren, two boys and two girls. The era of the book is based on the author’s experiences growing up in rural Southwest Virginia in a small community called Gate City. The fifties and the sixties were a time worth remembering.
