Despite all the constant demand for critical thinking and cognitive flexibility, each always returns to family and home. This is only natural for them as Ruth herself has written a book entitled Longing for Peace: Shantistan, where she writes a guide specifically designed to create a peaceful land. Her desire to overcome the chaos and heartbreaks from being a “third culture individual” has pushed her to teach resilience to the afflicted and enlightenment to the ignorants. Because of this deep-seated belief, she is able to pass this mindset to her family. This is why amidst their trials of separation, they are able to thrive in their adventures by staying true to their familial code of honesty, faith, and love for each other and for Peace itself.

Pearson Media Group has found the teachings of this book worthy of the world, especially in a time torn between indifference and acceptance. Be inspired to integrate life’s priorities through life experiences and mediate through diverse circumstances without losing the spark of loving care and empathy with the Burgess’s book, “Longing for Home.”
