Kelly Newson, aka: KELZ, was born in Harbor City and grew up in Los Angeles. She is a writer, poet, and journalist who began writing at the age of 8. KELZ attended Rio Hondo College, and just before graduating, she produced, wrote, and directed her first play “Making the Deal”, 2007.
