Litorina Kapital acquires Resta – a leading growth company in the Swedish waste management market

Stockholm 19 January 2007 - Litorina Kapital acquires Resta, a leading growth company in the Swedish waste management market. Following the acquisition, Litorina will own approximately 75% of the company. The founders of Resta will remain in the company after the acquisition as shareholders with a 25% ownership and through their operative roles in the company.

Resta was founded in 2002 and the services offered by the company are collection, transportation, sorting and treatment of waste for municipalities and industrial customers. The Company has focused on growth in metropolitan areas and has a strong position in the Stockholm and Malmö regions today. The customers are large to medium sized municipalities and corporations, e.g. within management of paper recycling. The waste management market is a growing market due to the underlying increase of waste, both from households and from industry, and the increased demands on sorting and recycling. Resta has grown organically with 37% per year since 2003 and had a turnover of SEK 120 million in 2006, with good profitability. Resta has 130 employees and is headquartered in Stockholm.
