Successful sail away of the Anyala Production Deck Module (PDM)

Lagos, Nigeria – WEBWIRE

Aveon Offshore Limited wishes to announce the successful construction and completion of the 350-tonne topside Production Deck Module for the Nigerian National petroleum Corporation (NNPC)/First Exploration and Production Development Company Limited (FIRST E&P) Joint Venture. It was successfully loaded-out of our fabrication yard in Port Harcourt, July 2020.

The platform was fabricated over a period of 12 months and has sailed away from our fabrication yard to the Anyala Field (OML 83), offshore Bayelsa State, Nigeria, for installation. The Production Deck Module (PDM) will be lifted onto the pre-installed Subsea Support Structures (SSS) and Drilling Deck Module (DDM), which were also fabricated by Aveon Offshore Limited and delivered mid-2019.

AVEON Offshore Limited is a Nigerian owned engineering and fabrication services company. Aveon was awarded the contract in December 2018, for the fabrication of approximately 750 tons of structures (SSS, DDM, PDM), outfitting and handling of 700 tons of Conductor Pipes.

This is the first of two Conductor Supported Platforms currently under construction by the NNPC/FIRST E&P Joint Venture for the Anyala and Madu fields in OML 83 and 85 respectively.

The project was executed by AVEON Offshore at its 300,000 Sqm fabrication yard in Rumuolumeni near Port Harcourt and generated over 500,000 production man-hours.

“We are very pleased to have been considered by FIRST E&P as a reliable contractor to deliver these extremely time sensitive and technically demanding structures, thereby contributing to the achievement of their goal of reaching first oil in a safe and timely manner, whilst adhering to the highest safety and quality standards,” said Tein George, Chairman, Aveon Offhore Limited.

Aveon wishes to thank the Management of NNPC, FIRST E&P, Maerlin Limited and Aquaterra Energy Limited for giving us the opportunity to be a part of this project.
