“I Fought Like a Girl And I Won!” The Journey Continues

Author Nicole Alyse Dorman is both a witness and a cancer warrior. She shares her personal experience on how she fights the everyday battles of breast cancer in “I Fought Like A Girl And I Won! The Journey Continues,” a detailed narrative of 101 pages of hope, inspiration and refusing to lose heart to give up the fight.

Published on May 31, 2015 by WorkBook Press, Dorman’s life experience immortalized on her book has since then touched thousands of lives who find the book inspiring, heartwarming and very informative.

In her book, Dorman says: “Any cancer diagnosis doesn’t put your life on hold.” Emphasizing that the world will not stop turning for you but it definitely helps you to move on to things that matter most. “I had endured a lot through my journey, but my friends, family, faith, hope, courage, and positive attitude helped me win my battle.”

Deeply influenced by Roy T. Bennet’s quote: “Make improvements, not excuses. Seek respect, not attention.” Dorman further honed her understanding about cancer by attending an educational event “4^th Breast Cancer Forum: Screening, Metastic Breast Cancer And Living With And Beyond” hosted by The Royal Society of Medicine on September 15, 2015.

With her life changing experience in the hands of breast cancer, Dorman wanted to raise awareness everyday, not just only in the month of October when cancer is being celebrated annually.
