Dow a Finalist at Reuters Events Sustainable Business Inaugural Responsible Business Awards

Dow (NYSE:DOW) announced today that it has been selected as a finalist for the business transformation and circular innovation categories at Reuters Events Sustainable Business Inaugural Responsible Business Awards 2020 – the world’s leading celebration of responsible business excellence.

This year’s awards spanned 13 categories, including UN Sustainable Development Goal impact, diversity & inclusion, business transformation, circular innovation and clean energy transition, and garnered more than 500 nominations from across the globe. Dow’s innovations to drive circularity as well as its progress in developing a sustainable business model for the future secured its spot as a finalist in the two awards categories.

Dow believes in plastics for a circular world and has collaborated with a global network to drive scalable solutions to the plastic waste challenge. This has resulted in several successful initiatives including the construction of polymer-modified asphalt roads with postconsumer recycled plastic and a partnership with Fuenix Ecogy Group in Europe to produce Dow polymers through a new feedstock made from recycled plastic waste. Additionally, Dow collaborated with Kellogg’s Kashi Bear Naked brand to roll out fully recyclable packaging, which was made possible with Dow’s RecycleReady Technology.
