NEW Partner-Loss Support Group for Parents of Young Children

Free Grief Support Program from The Elizabeth Hospice

San Diego, CA USA – WEBWIRE

Feelings of loneliness after the death of a spouse can be debilitating. These emotions are often heightened when there are young children in the family. In addition to providing support to the children during this difficult time, it’s important for the surviving parent to address his or her own grief.

Partner- Loss Support Group is offered free of charge from The Elizabeth Hospice for people who are grieving the death of a husband, wife or partner while raising children and teens. Participants will meet Tuesdays September 29, October 6, 13, and 20 from Noon to 1:30 pm via Zoom. Space is limited and attendees are required to register by September 25 at  Michelle.Brown@ehospice.org  or by calling 833-349-2054.

“Support group participants will gain a better understanding of their own grief and loss,” said Michelle Brown, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. “They will learn new ways to enhance the well-being of their children who are also grieving and receive resources to support them and their family.”

The Elizabeth Hospice’s grief support services are available to everyone in San Diego County and Southwest Riverside County, including families who do not have a patient affiliation with the organization. Counseling services are available for individuals, couples, families and children.
