Airspace Unveils New Mask Adherence Tech As Companies Plan for Safe Reopenings

New tech enables mask adherence and alerts to potential transmission hotspots

San Francisco – WEBWIRE

San Francisco -- Airspace Systems announces the launch of a new fully-automated solution for companies and universities that want to use technology to monitor for social distance violations, dangerous congregation points, and facemask use adherence.

The company, which powers security at Major League Baseball stadiums and major international airports, has developed All Clear for Enterprises, in a response to demand from companies looking for contactless solutions to aid in their reopening efforts.

As organizations deal with new responsibilities to create safer work environments, the solution presents an automated system to empower workplace safety efforts in a consumer-first, privacy-designed approach.

The application, which is built on Airspace’s central Galaxy platform, allows companies to monitor for face mask adherence and scan for clustering within and on the perimeter of office buildings.

The full feature set includes:

  • Face Mask Adherence and Social Distancing Enforcement: Get risk-based alerts and notifications with hotspot locations of contact activity while protecting the privacy of individuals. For example, “Alert me if more than 5 people are in a cluster.” or “Alert me if people are in the elevator and not wearing a mask.”
  • Enterprise-Grade Safety: Detecting contact points and helping with health and safety guidance within office spaces. Featuring enterprise-grade security, data encryption, and centralized control, the system does not log public identities or use facial recognition technology.
  • Streamlined Monitoring: Offering one centralized system that ensures accurate detections and transmission risk hotpots to any desktop or mobile device.

“As offices strategize their reopening plans, one of the most important things we can do is to provide ample support to create safer, more efficient workplaces that are designed with employees’ health and wellbeing in mind,” says Jaz Banga, Airspace co-founder and CEO and founding member of the Department of Transportation & Federal Aviation Administration Drone Advisory Committee.

The application is a software-based solution that utilizes advanced machine vision, AI, and proprietary technology that can be used with existing cameras already in operations within offices/campuses, new cameras or drones to cover large outdoor areas like parks and beaches.

Enterprises, airports, public venues, and the military use Airspace to protect people, property, and IP from harm. The system has worked behind the scenes with Major League Baseball during the 2018 World Series games, for the San Francisco Police Department in support of the U.S. Navy to protect its annual San Francisco Fleet Week, and in Sacramento for the 36th annual California International Marathon.
