New Image Capturing and Cataloging Technology Giving Major Boost to Life Science Research

GlobalMedia’s CapSure™ imaging solution providing speed, accuracy for researchers

Scottsdale, Arizona – January 11, 2007 - Valuable research studies currently underway at Arizona State University, which will help create an understanding of the correlation between land management and wildlife survivability, have recently been enhanced by CapSure™, the latest digital imaging solution developed by GlobalMedia Group, LLC, a leading innovator of digital imaging technology.

Dr. William H. Miller, associate professor, Department of Applied Biological Sciences at Arizona State University’s Polytechnic Campus, and his team of graduate and doctoral students, have been studying the plant species composition of animal diets and performing micro-histological analyses to examine the diet composition, blood parameters and nutrient analysis of these species.

GlobalMedia’s CapSure™ imaging solution is enabling Dr. Miller’s research team to take their research of large game nutrition to a new level. It is allowing ASU professors to be more engaged with their student’s research, enhancing analysis capabilities for students, broadening access to previous research and findings, and expanding research capabilities within the classroom.

Dr. Miller also noted that the image quality of the CapSure™ solution has increased their ability to accurately identify species, and the additional camera functions have enabled them to pan and zoom on the microscopic images, increasing the reliability of the data.
