About Gear Up!
Adventurous at heart, Thomas and Sam Briley met at their university’s climbing wall back in 2010 in Greenville, North Carolina. Sam worked at their outdoor program center and Thomas was just an everyday regular guest. As their passion for outdoor adventures grew, so did their love for each other. Now married for almost 4 years, their family has expanded to two adventure dogs and one adventure baby.

Thomas and Sam have a combined 15 years’ experience in the outdoor industry holding various roles including upper management, directors, and guide positions. They have led individuals and large groups on backpacking, climbing, mountaineering, paddling, mountain bike trips, and much more.

While working in the outdoor industry, they have seen time and time again people and families wanting to get outside but can’t afford all the gear necessary; especially high-quality gear that will withstand rain, wind, and other outdoor elements.
