The Show Must Go On: United Flea Markets Announces Agreement with Nuell Entertainment to Host Concerts and Festivals at Flea Markets across the U.S.

Denver, CO – WEBWIRE

With large indoor gatherings prohibited, the demand for neutral outdoor venues is high. In addition to continuing to operate our flea markets, we’re able to accommodate the needs of concert, festival, trade show and graduation planners through our expansive outdoor spaces.

Denver-based United Flea Markets, owner of the largest portfolio of flea markets in the country, today announced a partnership with Los Angeles-based Nuell Entertainment to bring large, socially distanced, outdoor concerts and festivals to all 13 United Flea Markets properties across the country. The two companies will be working closely with promoters and the partnership will debut its first concert series in July with Lions Share, Feyline and Mammoth.

United Flea Markets owns and operates 13 flea markets nationwide, each with 16 to 104 acres of outdoor space. The festivals and concerts will be hosted in phases. During phase one, attendees will enjoy performances drive-in style from their cars. In phase two, when city and state regulations shift to allow for larger in-person gatherings, attendees will be allowed to stand with their groups, distanced from others in defined “blocks” while enjoying the shows.

“With large indoor gatherings prohibited, the demand for neutral outdoor venues is high. In addition to continuing to operate our flea markets, we’re able to accommodate the needs of concert, festival, trade show and graduation planners through our expansive outdoor spaces,” said Rob Sieban, CEO of United Flea Markets. “Flea markets are uniquely suited to host large groups – they have built in amenities like bathrooms and concessions, nearly unlimited outdoor space, and no permanent seats or bleachers to contend with that you’d find in an amphitheater or traditional concert venue.”

Nuell Entertainment is booking concerts and events at United Flea Markets’ sites including the Rubidoux Swap Meet and Drive-In Theater which is the largest drive-in theater in the Los Angeles area with 17-acres in Riverside County, and the Mile High Flea Market, near downtown Denver, CO which sits on 80 acres and can hold 5,000 cars.

“If you’re a concert promoter looking to do a nationwide tour under the current restrictions, it’s extremely efficient to work with one property owner who owns all 13 of the venues,” Sieban added.

Each event will observe mandated social distancing and health restrictions in accordance with orders from the governors, mayors and municipal guidelines set forth in each location.
